Forgive me if some of what I say seems stupid. I am not that computer literate, but I'm trying to understand.
I work in an office with three computers on one network. Two of the computers share some files for an accounting program.
Something happened (actually I think it was installing Norton) and now for some reason the two computers will not connect to share the files. I have made sure that every folder along the path has been set for sharing.
I go into the network places and try to connect to the other computer and it tells me
"No network provider accepted the given path"
OR
something about teh network being disconnected and not restored.
I have also made sure we are on the same workgroup but when I go into view workgroup computers only my computer shows up.
Does any of this make sense and can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance
