have the Windows ME CD, the boot file on a floppy disk to run Windows ME (i got the boot file from http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm and its the Windows Me OEM boot file).
the boot file runs and the Microsoft Windows Millennium startup menu appears it gives me these options

1. help
2. start the computer with CD-ROM support.
3. start the computer without CD-ROM support.
4. Minimal Boot.

Enter choice:

F5=Safe mode.
Shift+F5=Command prompt.
Shift+F8=step-by-step confirmation [y or n].....

I want to run Windows ME because i want to play the old games in it and i dont care if you dont like Windows ME.

Hi and welcome.
I have a couple of important questions for you.
What virtualisation software are you using?
What games are you planning to try to play within the VM?

Most Virtuialisation software will not support 3D acceleration within the virtual environment, so are not the best way to get games working. I believe Latest VMWare supports OpenGL 3D but not Direct3D.
