A thread for posting what hardware you have in your computer. I was just wondering stuff other people are running. Here's my stats:
- Custom built PC running a brand new Asus A78NX motherboard
- AMD XP2100+ processor
- 256MB PC2100 DDR

- video card: Visiontek GeForce4 Ti4600 128MB running AGP8x

- monitor: flat screen 17" with a sony trinitron tube (not flat panel those suck for games)
My next yupgrades: 1.5GB PC3200 (DDR400) memory and an AMD XP3200+ (their latest chip) and a 21" or larger monitor

- Custom built (like all my pcs)
- Asus A7N8X Deluxe mobo (latest BIOS)
- AMD XP2600+ CPU
- 512MB (2x256MB) Corsair XMS3500 RAM (CAS2)

- Aopen 40x12x48 CDRW
- 2x 60Gb Seagate Barracuda IV (7200rpm) running RAID0 SATA (using convertors)
- Hercules Radeon 9700Pro
- Sound is the NVidia Soundstorm onboard (it's superior to any soundcard I have - infact I removed an Audigy from this mobo because I preferred the onboard sound)
- Case = Coolermaster ATC110 aluminium

Next upgrade - 2 new SATA drives and a 21" monitor
Although TBH I'd trade in those upgrades for an ibook now cos a mates got one and is making me jealous :p

@mishy: how do you like the A7N8X Deluxe?! I've only been running mine for a week so far, but love it. I can't wait until I get a processor that supports the 400Mhz FSB and the memory to go with it. I think only the XP3000+ and the XP3200+ they have 400Mhz FSB versions. You'll love the Serial ATA when you get it, but word of advice.. it's a pain in the ass to set up, well not really.
Go to ASUS's website and download the SATA drivers and put them on floppy disk. You need the disk that has oemsetup.txt on it I think it's called. Because when you install Win XP you'll press F6 to install the drivers and when it asks for them it only asks for A: drive, so you can't use the CD that comes with the motherboard. :(
@postcode: Well, I have 201GB's of storage and most of it is taken up. Every Seinfeld episode takes up over 15 gigs in itself, and each Friends season is 12 CD's worth! Times that by 7 seasons and the 8th season isn't over yet. Guess I have a new goal?! Hehe.. to have more space than you. LOL!
Originally I had about 300 or 400 CD's of stuff I downloaded off the net, so I decided to get them all online for friends to download if they ever needed and for me to have easy access. When I get some Blank DVD's I'm gonna burn everything to DVD as a backup and put them in a storage thingie. They have this thing you can store like 75 cd's or dvd's in and it hooks up to your computer via USB. You can search/find any file you need and it'll pop that CD/DVD out for you. They're stackable if you need more too.
