computuer help Please

I have Vista home premium. yesterday my computere unexpectedly shut down and then has been hanging there and says configuring updates stage 3 of 3, gets to 93% and shuts down and goes to 93% and restarts and does the same thing over and over. I left it on all night and this morning is continuing the same. I can't seem to restart or start up in safe mode or anything else. Can anyone help me with this. Thanks.

Did you try to install Service Pack 1? There is a known issue that can cause an endless reboot loop. If you did, contact Microsoft (you have free support from them).
