Fax and Phone suite

Does anyone know of a good and cheap full featured fax and phone suite for Win98SE or Linux?

I used to have a really good program called Focal Point from Global Village; it really let you use a computer as a desk phone, complete with music on hold, took voice mail, received and forwarded faxes, and on an on.

But the disks went bad.

Really appreciate it.

Thanks for the info on the fax/answering machines for the computer, but the available items seemed a little pricey ($30) given that one can buy a regular fax machine with a regular answering machine as a feature for about $60 before coupons at Staples, etc.
