How to Restore the previous Windows configurations
I am operating on Wind 98 se and the original Internet Explorer was IE 5. I have updated to IE 6 from MS Update. Now I want to restore to IE5. But when I go to control panel Add/Remove Programs, click Internet Explorer 6 and click Add/Remove, of the 3 options, the "Restore the previous Windows Configurations" is greyed. Is there a way to open this option so that I could restore to IE 5? Anyone please advise. Thanks.

If this happened within the past 5 days, click start> shutdown> Restart in MS-DOS mode. At the C:\ windows> prompt type scanreg/restore and hit Enter. Choose the day before this happended from the list and hit Enter. Follow the prompts. When it finishes restoring the registry, exit scanreg. At the c:\windows> prompt , type exit and hit Enter ,,,,, to reboot to windows
