Exclamation Some Gears Of War Trouble

I am getting Some Gears Of War Trouble.

So... I put my GoW disc into the drive and click on the shortcut. It runs through the Epic Games video clip (with a little lagginess) and the Microsoft Games video clip with no trouble whatsoever.

I press enter to acess the main menu, it works great. I press F1 to acess the live account/Profile page..... Nothing!

I am a little peeved off, but i continue to start a new campaign. The GFX are awesome, but i had a little lagginess. When I use my head (a little bit) i decide to open the Video Settings page to stop my lagging. I set all values to medium, and press ESC. That doesn't work, so i click the exit button. That doesn't work either. So i'm stuck with a laggy, Partially working game, that all my friends rave about .

I've checked my system req's against the game Minimum Req's, and i am above them. (I checked on srtest.com)

My System:
Windows XP Home Edition
Intel Pentium 4 3.20 GHZ Processor
1024 MB Random Acess Memory
Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Sound Card (CA80)
nVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT Super 1GB Video Memory

GoW's Req's
Windows Vista/XP
2.4 GHZ Intel Processor
1GB RAM
nVIDIA GeForce 6600+

Any help greatly appreciated!

James

Do you have all the latest drivers for your 8600GT?

If not you should go to NVidia.com to get them.
