recovery disk is faulty

my recovery disk is faulty so i cannot reformatt my o/s , ive have downloaded me boot disk but my floppy disc doesnt work even thou in device manager it says working normally i can get a replacement disc but will have to pay 12£.

does your fdd work in windows?
if so & you are trying to boot the disk before windows
as to format the drive / check it

then you must get into your bios when you turn the com on
& enable boot from floppy / boot up floppy seek
