Dazzle video creator

I have just brought the new dazzle video creator and installed it (the yellow disc the one i need) because i am trying to record my xbox360 gameplay using the dazzle.

I connect the Xbox 360 to my Tv through the uv cables which go in the video and audio input
Then i have double ended Red/yellow/black(exact same as the white one but different colour) i connect one end into my video and left and right audio output then into my dazzle then from the dazzle into the USB of my computer.

The problem is when i come to the capture/edit/movie maker screen then press on capture it just shows a purple screen and says "it can detect a valid signal and that i should check my cables" does this mean my UV cables are broken do i need more cables please help
