Thumbs down [DVR] PPV movies 24 hrs only on dvr.

http://directv.com/DTVAPP/global/con...setId=P4540022

Effective April 15, 2008, DVR recordings of PPV movies will be available for 24 hours of unlimited viewing after purchase. Major movie studios have required that satellite and cable providers alike may no longer allow their customers to view these recordings for longer than 24 hours. During the 24 hour viewing period, you will continue to enjoy all of your DVR features such as pause and rewind. [more]
???

You paid for the movie, you should be able to keep it as long as you wanna!!!!

I wonder if cable companies are gonna cave in also...... (Unreal)

Sorry Dude, but you only paid to watch the movie.. NOT to keep it.

If you want to keep it, buy it on DVD.

Interesting that nobody seems to object to being kicked out of a theater after watching a movie once.

For me that's apples and oranges. I just like to put a few movies on the DVR (hopefully relatively new) and watch them when the opportunity presents itself. I never watch any movie more than once, but I would like to watch it when I feel like it. You know, you can go to the theater when you want, assuming thay are open at the time. Perhaps they ought to delete these PPV movies after they have ben viewed once. I would go for that. Or maybe, an option to do it either way. As it is, I guess that ends PPV for me. There is a blockbuster not too far and they have BluRay. They will now have a new customer.

I meant legally since they make them like that.

I've been around here too long to expect this site to support that. I've seen too many others told about that.
