I will first start out to say I don't know much about computers, but I will try my best to explain my issue.
CPU Type: Intel (R) Core (TM)2 CPU
CPU Speed: 1.80 Ghz
Cache RAM: 2048 MB
OS: Windows Vista (Home Basic)
Video: Geforce 8500
I was doing a windows update and my power went out. When I try and turn my computer on it gets to the windows loading screen, then the screen goes blank and nothing happens.
When I try Safe Mode:
It gets stuck at crcdisk.sys (I have waited for 1+ hour)
So I figured I would just reformat (with windows XP, because I don't have a vista disk).
When I try and boot from CD with windows XP, I get this error:
Stop: 0x0000007B (0XF78DA63C, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
When I press F6 at the windows XP CD start-up, I get:
Cannot detect any mass storage devices. " <none> "
Could this mean my hard drive got fried?
Any help would be greatly welcomed. Thanks in advance,
~Terry
