Hi i have a Netgear WGT624 wireless cable router and i have tried connecting using a RJ45/Ethernet Cable using a number of computers ( 1 Desktop & 2 Laptops) but it doesnt seem to connect all it says is that the Connection is Limited pleace contact the network administrator. I have also tried connecting using wireless but it has a security password
which i don't have.

Even though it has a security password for wireless it should connect using a wire but it doesnt please help...

Have you tried different ports on the router? Different cables?

Hello and welcome to the CTH Forum -

You should first try to get the router to work on one of your computers via a 'wired' connection, and then address the 'wireless' situation. I'm assuming that you have a cable modem (or DSL) - the internet connection via your ISP should be connected into the WAN port of the router (as shown in the pic below); then your computer connected via one of the other ports - make sure that you are indeed using Cat5 RJ-45 cables (not a crossover cable); plus, as already suggested, try a different cable.

If your router is one purchased by you and new, then the default settings at the factory should be present - these should be in the documentation and/or on the Netgear website; you need to get into the browser-based configuration page on your 'wired' computer - from there you can, change the defaults and start working on the 'wireless' issue; if this is a router given to you w/ a changed password, then you will need to reset the router and start as described previously - good luck & reply back on your progress -
