Performance problems on a Sli system (moved form Vista)
Hi guys, I'm new to the whole computer and performance thing, I recently got my new computer this christmas. I just wanted to make sure its performing up to speed and that everythings okay because I have been dissapointed when I notice people with similiar systems getting alot more fps on games than me.
Sli 8800 GT oc normally gigabyte s series motherboard core 2 quad cpu at 2.4 ghz 22" monitor (max resolution for games is 1600x1200 I think) antec 900 gaming case zalman cooler (temperatures are fine) logitech speaker system (they make popping noises after being on too long, think its cause i dnt have a dedicated sound card) razer tarantula keyboard usb inserted razer mouse I get a score of 12000 on 3dmark06. I do believe though that this score is considerably low for my system. Some people said that my CPU might be holding my GPU's up and if so can anyone provide a guide or link to a guide on how to overclock to 3.0ghz, Last time i tried it wouldnt boot up and it did not reset the settings until i manually changed them, i think its because I set voltages to auto manage because I didnt want to tamper with them. and is there anyway to find out what psu I have? without opening case. Any opinions on my performance is accepted, even if its just a sentence or so. |

You will have to open the case and look at the power supply. That case doesn't come with one preinstalled.
