Slow PC With Vista.
I still don't know a lot about the PC world like I should by now. A few years back I had this same problem with XP and the Cypber tech helpers fixed so I'm going to the info. I think you'll need. The star up programs in my PC that is running Vista are.
All of these have a check in the box. I noticed there are more than one of the same software's. Is that common? START UP ITEM MANUFACTURER Windows Defender Microsoft C-Major Audio SigmaTel, Inc. I'm sorry it looks confusing. I put space between the name of the software and the manufacture names but it came out like this. If it's hard to read I'll do it again but this time I'll leave out the manufacture names. Tony

Hi sir,
How much MB of RAM are you running on? Vista requires a lot of RAM for smooth running. Do you use AOL at startup? If not, then please uncheck AOL and restart your system and check if the boot is faster.

i also believe you might should remove Trend Micro Internet Security Micro Inc.... even though it could be unchecked it somewhat buggy about it
my bro had this on his last laptop running vista and i found that and uninstalled it...after that it ran like it should. If you are hooked up to a router, additional firewall shouldn't be needed as router does a good job at that....but to each their own opinion. this is something i would try and see if it improve performance in any ways. Also Cyber Punk asked a good question..how much Ram you running? |

I have 1 GB RAM.
I don't have a router, I think. What is a router? I use DSL. When I first received my Dell it ran fast. Now it takes a long time to boot up to the point I can use it. Now AOL takes longer to come up after clinking the program. Thanks |
