Hi, does anyone know how to sort out an internet connection problem.
I've got my friends laptop, which is a dell with windows XP, it's a wireless one good spec and only about 9 months old.
OK. When you try and connect to the net via either cable or wireless through a sky netgear router it say's the page cannot be displayed.
I've got it now and I've got Sky broadband with no problems.
The connections both of which show up as connected but you can't access the net.
I've been on the Microsoft site to get settings for TCP/IP and that hasn't worked, so the only thing I can think of is either McCaffe Security is not working (I disabled it at the moment) or a registry change has halted all "traffic" in and out of the laptop.
Connection through my HP pc and laptop is ok.
any advice or help would be great.
cheers.
