Possible problem with wireless card.

Hi there,

2 days ago I began experiencing problems on my network with extremely bad latency. Turns out through troubleshooting with my isp technician that one of my machines is causing the problem.

When the machine is on the network through its wireless connection it causes the whole network to lag to the point of no connectivity at all. As soon as I disable the wireless card all of the machines(wired or wireless) imediately get connectivity again.

My isp tells me my machine may have a virus of spyware causing the problem or that the card may just be no-good. I scanned using norton and uniblue, both updated, and found nothing. I uninstalled Flash CS3 which I installed the same day the issues began happening and still no results.

The laptop will connect and stay connected for about 5-10 minutes before it lags out the network.

I have also tried the modem directly to the machine and the same thing happens.

I have been using this network for over a year and had no issues so any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

The card is a Broadcom 802.11 b/g

and my router is a D-Link DIR-655.

Drivers and firmware both at their latest versions.

Thanks again for any help!
