Unable To View Files.

Hi,
I am experiencing an extremely peculiar problem since a last few days. If I copy a file on a floppy disk from the Windows XP O.S.and try to view it in Windows 98, I am unable to view the copied contents even though it shows the amount of space occupied by the copied file. I am unable to copy any of the files. How do I solve this problem?
PLEASE HELP!!!

1. Is the floppy bad? Have you tried another floppy?

2. Does the 98 machine have the program that the file was saved in ( work, excel, abobe...etc. )?

3. Is the floppy write protected? See if it's not write protected by sliding the tab into the position not allowing light to shine through it. If you do not have a tab place tape over this hole.


Copy the same file from the 98 machine to the floppy and try to read it from the XP machine. Does it work?


Floppy drives fail all the time and the floppies themselves fail too, they are so unreliable!
