Forgive me, I'm frustrated :curse:

I recently purchased an Acer Computer with Window Vista Home Premium installed, which replaced a Sony Vaio running XP. The Sony Vaio computer ran the internet perfectly.

However, the new computer doesn't seem to be connecting to the internet at all. When I connect all the cables together, the Ethernet port (E1) keeps flashing at a constant slow rate (which is the port the new computer is connected to). I've tried to reset the routers and disconnect power on and off, etc but I have yet to succeed. I've tried to "setup new connection" wizard and it prompts me for a username and password. I have my ISP as Verizon and I'm not extremely sure what the username would be (is it xxxxx@verizon.net?)

Router: Westel 327W
ISP: Verizon Online
Windows Vista
Acer Aspire computer

Any help.

Edit: I don't have the installation CD... but I heard you don't need it. I've tried to access 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1 but none of them work.

Check the network card in the devices manager first. Make sure he's all happy and enabled.

All fixed, called the ISP and it turns out my modem wasn't compatible with Vista.

Sent me a new one and happy
