Hi
We have a very simple setup:
3 PCs (one acts as a file server)
1 Router
1 ADSL modem
We've recently had a local upgrade to our internet services meaning we can go from slow band to broadband. That's mean changing from an adsl modem to an adsl2 modem.
The modem uses an ethernet connection to the router and it's working just fine.
We did need to change the TCP/IP settings and I have tried having the "default gateway" set, or left blank. Either way it makes no difference.
If I do an ipconfig /release I get warned that I've lost my local area connection. If I do an ipconfig /renew I get advised that I'm reconnected.
However my mapped drives are gone and if I go to My Network Places / Microsoft Windows Network I can see the workgroup.
Any ideas on how I get this lan back up and running?
thanks
Sarah
