this is sad but true i have timed my dnloads before and i always come up with a little over 5 minutes with this phone company that is as good asit is gona get >cody

I think the download site gets slow. I know I have atleast a 200kb a sec (in storage) it say about 175.
My estimations for a 1mb file donwload.
56k: 5 min
Cable: 5 seconds

Fiber Optic? :o ('Dun know how fast it is exactly, but I know it's used in office networks)

One really needs to do several test and then take an average to get a clear result. Here test to your hearts content. :D

Many of these test give you your upload speed as well. The best I could get from a test site that was within a few hundred miles was 2800/152 K
