Hello all,
I'm loading a PC with win98 for my Uncle, he needs to stick with it for old software purposes. I just did a fresh install of WIN98SE. I want to get on the internet with it through the PC's built in network port. I went into the device manager and looked at the network adapter, it is "installed and working properly". However when I click on Internet Explorer, it just brings up the MSN internet setup wizard that INSISTS I need to have a modem installed to get on the internet. How to get on the internet via a network connection in 98SE? When I try and run the internet connection wizard that also is only looking for a modem, it doesn't ask if I want to connect via a network connection like XP does. I haven't used 98 in many years.
Thanks
