My laptop used to connect automatically to the Internet via wireless. Now, I have to hit Repair (I use Windows XP Home).

The default (and only Wireless option I have) doesn't appear at first, under available wireless connections, and sometimes Repair doesn't work.

I have a feeling that some of the options are missing, in the Wireless Network Connections Properties/General area. My computer shows File and Printer Sharing for MS Networks, QoS Packet Scheduler and Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

What type of wireless NIC/router config are we talking about? Did you try running the software CD/program from the manufacturer to set it up, or is Windows controlling the wireless? If you run the software your vendor should have for your wireless, run that to make sure the SSID, encryption type/keyphrase matches what's configured on the router. If any of those are different, it'll give you issues. You may have to log into your router to check/adjust these settings.
