Have you tried uninstalling & reinstalling?

Had this today as well after a w/d update last night.
As stated, delete & re-install. It seems to be corrected now.
After looking into the error it seems to come up as an issue every year

Had the same issue {again} just now & had to do it all over. So now the question is what's the deal with this ?

Update,
I guess it never was corrected like I 1st stated. I just noticed when you dump & reinstall that it is set for a quick scan & not the full. When using quick scan the error does not appear, only when a full scan is done.
So needless to say, I don't know what has caused this or how to correct it.

OK so I installed the windows XP SP 3 & thought that may end this error {thought perhaps that had something to do with this} & after doing a full scan the same issue came up. So I just put it on quick scan for the automatic scans & let it be. Today I tried the full scan & now had no issue. I did it again just now & it worked fine. Perhaps they had another update during the night or something. Anyway I just thought I should post this. We'll see if this is over with or not in time. But as of today all looks good
