fitting to screen
My off-line computer works on win98se and Office97
I have a picture album on my computer mostly in jpg format Usually when opening the pictures (photos and drawings) they fitted exactly to the screen size. Lately most of the pictures appear much larger than the screen and must be scrolled in order to view the whole pics. There is probably some "fit to screen" command which I lost When I open the picture, usually “Microsoft Internet Explorer” appears in the title line. Please advise how to configure the computer so that the pics will fit the screen. thanks |

I use IrfanView for a pic viewer. It has options for changing the view size and it has other options that make it much better than Internet Explorer for viewing.
If you want to use Internet Explorer, look in Internet Options/Advanced and make sure there is a check mark in "Enable automatic image resizing"

thanks rockboy
there is no "Enable automatic image resizing" option in my IE, but I changed the viewer to Kodak (I didn't like the black background of Irfanview) and now everything works OK thanks again |

You're welcome. The Kodak viewer is probably lots better than IE.
If you want to give IrfanView another try, you can change the background color to any color you like. It's in Options, Properties/Settings, Viewing tab. I don't like the black background either so I changed it to a soft gray color.

fitting to screen
Thank you. I returned to Irfanview and changed the background color, and now I find that I can view full screen simply by toggling the "enter" which i couldn't in Kodak, but which is very important to my work.
So I remain here Thanks again |
