Hey,
ive been having problems with my laptop's DNS since january, ive tried pretty much everything to get it working again and nothing seems to be working.
My wireless is all working as the host and 3 other computers are working fine with it, the connector on my laptop is working fine, its connected and has good signal etc but still doesnt connect.
Upon typing in the ispconfig /all command i noticed that in the windows IP configuration section the line " Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . .: "
has no answer/ response. could this be the problem and is there a way to change/fix this?

I wouldn't worry about the primary suffix stuff unless you are running a DNS server for your own domain. The primary suffix is just the domain to stuff on the end of a host name if one isn't given.

What type of DNS issues are you having? I imagine you are using your ISP's DNS server and possibly caching and forwarding through a router. Do you acquire your DNS servers automatically or are they manually set?

Yeah i use my ISp's DNS server, my ISP is AOL, theres nothing wrong with AOL itself as it works on the host and other computers, but on the laptop i use it says the DNS is unreachable or unavailable.

Does the DNS sometimes work or is it constant problem?
Can you post the ipconfig output back here so I can take a look?
