Are we talking noodles, gumbo, clear broth.....you've got to be more specific.
Also, what baud rate are the modems involved? v.90 or v.92? More info will be helpful.

OK, since you're talking broadband your primary concern should be security. With an "always-on" connection, egg-drop recipe theft will be an issue.
Transferring the broth should be easy: first, upload the broth to an FTP site (preferably a free one). Then simply e-mail the link (and any passwords) to the e-mail recipient for them to download from the site.
The egg-drops themselves could be trickier. Do you have a paralell to serial patch cable?

Alright, as we're dealing with Oriental soup (delicious, I might add) I've taken the liberty of posting exact instructions on how to e-mail the egg-drop portion of the soup at my home page. Simply go to Zip.org (http://www.zip.org/).

campbells is double concentrated so it could be zipped quite small
