Wireless Account won't work with programs

hi everyone,

I am staying at a college, and we have wireless internet here. Now, to log into the internet you need to enter your username and password every time. So for example, when i open internet explorer, i box pops up telling me to enter my username and password.

I am having a lot of problems using most of my internet based programs, because they do not support the connection where you have to enter your username and password to access the internet.

So i was wondering if anyone could tell me if i could like channel my internet through a certain program, so that i could use all my programs like i would be able to if i had a normal cable connection

Any help would be good.
