I always use Aimersoft DVD Creator, it can easily convert all popular video formats (AVI, MP4, MPG, MPEG, 3GP, WMV, ASF, RM, RMVB, DAT, MOV, FLV, etc) to DVD and burn DVD movie played on portable and home DVD players, that's very good, you can have a try

Do you mean you cant burn any type of DVD ... i.e Data or movie ?

If so, what media are you using and what speed are you burning at ?

Also ..... what exactly happens, in what programs ? .... any error messages ?

I mean I cant burn a dvd movie from the hard drive or copy dvd movies. When I first got this pc I could burn and copy dvds, but no more. I can burn music cds and dvds but no movies. Sonic came installed with this pc and I added Nero 7. I have tried a lot of different dvd burners all to no avail.

Not enough info provided to give you an answer.
We would need to know what movie, exactly how you are ripping the movie and with what software and exactly how you are trying to burn it in Nero .... i.e. what options are you choosing.

Many recent DVDs have additional protection and a lot of the old software has not kept up with these.

Can't recall on here, whether this is outside of forum rules, to discuss or not ..... apologies to mods if it is

What software do you use to burn DVD?
If nothing works, a clean install of Windows is highly recommended.

I am not using any illegal downloads or anything. I am trying to burn movies off my harddrive and limewire ,nothing copyright protected etc. I use Nero Express and Sonic Mydvd . I can always get to end of the burnng process and then I get the error message Sonic or Nero cannot write to this drive , or cant read . I burned a dvd Friday with Starburn dd burner but I cant watch it on my regular dvd player only on the pc.

Howdy zip316:

You didn't answer the question. What are the downloaded movies you are trying to burn and where are you downloading them from?

They are not illegal movies and what the name or genre is is not pertinent to the dvd burner not burning and for your info they are not porno.

Actually it is pertinent.

Now, I really don't care if they are porn or not or where they are located. What are they and what site are you getting them from - name of the movie?

Murray

Those are illegal, they are copyrighted movies. Generally any produced movie you will get from Limewire is illegal. Since this is the case they will not help you with your problem on this forum. I would start by seeing if you can burn regular data, not a movie, to a DVD. Then at least you know where the issue is. Unfortunately, I can't help you any further either.

Yep, DonBB has it right. Perhaps you should read the Terms of Use you agreed to when you joined. BTW, I thought you said it was nothing illegal?
