Help me, selecting a gaming pc/laotop.

I really need some help here. I have a budget of around $1000 for a gaming system, but I can't decide if I should pick a laptop or PC. I need a system that can run games like Call of Duty 4 and Orange Box at good settings are framerates. It also must be a dell or Alienware, because I need to pay this thing monthly. What do you guys recommend? Thanks.

If you choose the desktop route you will get a lot more powerful machine for your money but you are sacrificing portability, it's all about if you want to be portable or not.

Hey with your budget I suggest you to build your own system, building your own system can be the best choice. If you think that too many trouble you can just get a dell desktop, they are cheap and is easy for upgrading. You can have a look at the Dell Vostro 400 4GB 500GB dual 19 inch LCD monitors desktop, it has a GeForce 8800GT 512MB card good for gaming. And if you want to get a gaming laptop, the Dell XPS M1530 is for you, Dell XPS M1530 is one of the most power gaming laptops, and the price is around your budget, a recent deal on that laptop is $1018.
