help with serial mouse

hi,
i have a problem with my serial mouse.
i am trying to drag and drop a file into a program - i drag the file and when i drop the file doesnt appear.
i also tried just dragging and dropping a file from one folder to another using windows explorer, but the file would not appear when i let go of the mouse button either.
i have tried holding ctrl when dragging and dropping, still the same problem.
Any help on this much appreciated.

Try using the right mouse button to perform the operations. When you drop the object it should prompt you with a menu at the mouse pointer. In the menu you should have options like Move here, Copy Here and a few others...

Try the Move Here or Copy Here and see if this solves the issue.
