I have the officejet d145 from hp. The inside of the glass has a residue that causes scanning problems. Needs only a little window cleaner but hp will not comment on how to remove the glass. Any suggestions? A service call for windex seems a little expensive.

HP just like many other companies only like their people to fix their products. but this place sells replacement parts for HP, Toshiba, and Citizen (to name a few) the pictures may help, and they may sell manuals. also search the model of your printer and the work diagram or schematics.
