View Full Version : Can't scroll through menus with mouse

I can't use my mouse to scroll through menus anymore, for example Start >> Settings etc. It's not that the mouse sticks, I can still get the mouse cursor to move to the right of the menu text (say from Settings) and beyond. It's just that the second menu box (with Control Panel etc.) will not appear. I need to use the arrow keys of my keyboard to make this, and others, appear.

I hope that makes sense to somebody!

This is really annoying, so any advice would be very much appreciated.

Do you mean the menu won't pop out when you click on it (say settings for example), or when you just point to it?

Both, basically! Whereas I'd normally only have to hover over Settings with my cursor to get to the menu with Control Panel etc., neither hovering nor clicking would make the second menu appear. Only the directional buttons of the keyboard would allow me to get beyond the first menu from clicking the Start button.

The problem seems to have been solved now, though. I got some rather ordinary updates from Microsoft and the problem has gone.

Thanks!
