PS3 Games

I am about to buy a Playstation 3, and i was wondering what games i should get on it. Mustly looking for multiplayer games to play on the console, because i play with friends and family.

Any advice is helpful

Get a Wii thats a family and friends system pretty much

other than that GTA 4 is pretty much the top game on ps3...

Resistance
Grand Theft Auto 4

Those 3 for multiplayer and for some single player fun check out Racthet and Clank, Unchartered Drake's Fortune and Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

Well the best game of all time is coming out very soon Metal Gear Solid 4 and it dose have multiplayer but you will have your whole family wanting you to play single player because it is that good its a movie on crack
Warhawk is ok
Resistance is fun
GTA 4 is ok but online takes forever to get into a match
There will be a lot of good multiplayer games coming out at the end of the year like Socom and Resistance 2

I just got a PS3 as well, I'm waiting for Gran Turismo HD to be released and drooling. I have a Wii also and it's very entertaining, but the PS3 is just clearly a better system. GTA4 I hear and Metal Gear/Gears of War are great, but I'm a PC gamer - gotta have a mouse for first-person shooters

I guess the big question is do you play same-room with them for 2player games, or do you go head to head via the Playstation network?

dude GT:HD is already out and GT5: Prologue. Gears of war is not even for ps3 and Metal gear is not a really a fps but it has fps elements. Just wanted to clarify

Thanks, mind was scattered amongst a bunch of consoles. ><

As for GT:HD, they junked it from what I can tell in favor of GT 5 Prologue after they released a brief teaser disc. I pretty much hate consoles and only got one for the Blu-Ray player, but I've always enjoyed the GT series.

Anyone play Midnight Club: LA for PS3 and is it worth it? I like pretty much all Need for Speed games (except ProStreet which I hate) and GT, would MC be worth checking out?

Probably be playing people in same room. Im sure my computer is to slow to play online with them.
