View Full Version : Creating a CD of my digital camera photos to play on my DVD player

Can some one tell me if I'm going mad?

I'm sure that at some stage in the past I created a CD of some of my digital camera images and played the CD through the DVD player like a flip album.

I want to transfer some of my latest photos to that format. I've racked my brains to try and remember how I did it but with no luck. I've gone through all my software archives but can't find anything that seems to trigger my memory.

I've checked my cd writing software (Nero 5.5.2.4) and NTI CD Maker De-Luxe V5 but neither of these has an option that seems to fit the bill.

They both are capable of writing Video CD and Super VCD but the files need to be in MPEG or AVI format whereas mine are JPEG.

Any help much appreciated.

chris18,

Look a little harder in the Nero program. It definitely allows you to make this type of cd, made one myself just a week or so ago.

Unfortunately, I am not on my home pc at the present and can't tell you from memory how to do it. I may have used the Nero Express function, but you can do it with Nero, just do a little diggin.

Thanks for the reply.

Did some more digging around with Nero and found that it was possible to create a VCD just by dragging the jpeg files across. Also found it was possible to adjust the time interval between shots being shown.

NTI CD Maker De-Luxe DOESN'T allow that as it won't accept jpeg files when I tried to drag them across, says the file smust be either mpeg or AVI.

Do you by any chance know of any

FREEWARE progs that allow you to add music and transitions when making a VCD. I've seen some commercial ones such as photo2vcd FLYvcdand picturetotv but wondered if there was a good freeware available?

Glad you were able to find a way to do it.

As for as the progs, sorry no. You might try www.download.com (http://www.download.com) ,they've got loads of freeware, shareware, and free trial programs, see if you can find one there. Got to be some out there.
