Installation Problem

Hi,
my friend is trying to install NHL Championship 2000 by Fox Sports Net.

During installation when you have to select program folder, nothing is displayed, and if you click next having not selected a folder, the game just doesn't install.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks in advance

P.S He is using Windows XP Home Edition

I haven't checked, but the game may be win 9x only and may not be compatible with XP. Try running the setup application (setup.exe or install.exe) in compatibility mode.

I guess no-one else has any idea so let's go through a process of elimination:

1) Has he TRIED installing in compatibility mode? (It's supposedly compatible with Server 2003 as well so I doubt it is an incompatibility issue but it may be worth a try just to get over this hurdle).
2) Has Windows XP been reinstalled/patched since NHL was last installed?
3) Was NHL uninstalled properly? Check registry for leftover entries, check drive for leftover directories - delete them.
4) Is there even a "browse folder" option on the installation screen to try to select a folder?

2) Not sure, will check with him the reply.
3) He has, there is nothing.
