Well here (http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_pages/startup_full.htm)
is a list of startup items...you must click on the Blue bordered yellow letter of each section to get a description of each item that starts with that letter.

If you want us to help, download Startup list (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/html/downloads/download.php/id/37) and post the results here.

Hi stele_moore - go back into msconfig and check Scan Registry. You must have this running or your system will not be able to recover from registry corruption. You have also left a resource hog running "loadqm". Actually, it might be a good idea if you rechecked everything and ran and posted a startup list. We would be happy to help you with this.

Hi stele_moore - OK, most of your startups are fine. There are a couple that you can uncheck though. Go to Start > Run and type:

msconfig

and then OK. Click on the Startup Tab and uncheck the below entries:

LoadQM = loadqm.exe
Loads the MSN Queue Manager. A resource hog and not required

TkBellExe = "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot

An Application Scheduler installed along with RealOne Player. Once installed, it runs independently of RealOne Player and it is not required

Reboot when asked and then run a search for realsched.exe. When you find it, rename it to realsched.old.

You have a Lop (http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/lop/) BHO on your PC. To disable it, download and run BHODemon (http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm) and disable the below BHO only:

(no name) - C:\WINDOWS\APPLICATION DATA\CKMQUSTXBRC.DLL - {dbe6e152-ca8f-44a1-877c-2c10eea8318e}

The other is Norton so its fine.

Finally, open your browser and go to Tools > Internet Options and click on the General Tab. Click on Settings (next to Temporary Internet Files) and then click on View Objects. Rightclick on each and choose Properties. If there is anything there that you dont know what it is (microsoft, apple, macromedia etc are OK) or where it came from,delete it. If there are any damaged controls there, delete those also.

Hope this helps :D

As long as TkBellExe is disabled , it doesnt really matter if you cannot rename realsched.exe. That was just an extra precaution and you are very welcome stele_moore. :D
