View Full Version : Can't get audio for Quicktime or Windows Media Player!

I was able to find the audio drivers to my sound card which is now working fine.

Windows sounds, flashplayer sounds and the CD all come through the speakers just fine, but I'm finding when I download Quicktime videos and Windows Mediaplayer files, there is no sound at all!

I've confirmed that it's not the volume as I've toggled the switches during playback of both the speakers and the players themselves, but to no avail.

Any ideas on how to remedy this?

Thanks!

try running QuickTime in GDI mode... this can be done by a setting in its control pannel applet. if that works then its your installiation of DirectX.
