Starting up in Fail Safe mode every time

Could anyone tell me what to do if my computer starts up in fail safe mode everytime I turn it on?? it'`s win98 are some programs i could use to fix it perhaps??

You should provide the details of what started this problem, however you'll find that these symptoms are usually the cause of some driver problem - video adapter driver is often the problem. Try setting your display to 640x480 and 16 colors, then restart to see if it'll come up in normal mode. If yes, then you'll need to get a driver that's compatible with your OS & device & if no, then you can try removing all the hardware except for the essentials and see if it comes up normal & if yes, then add one piece at a time until you get the problem back. Then we can address that specific problem.
