Dual Hard Drive Partition

I have a Compaq Server with Dual SCSI Hard Drives with Windows 2000 Installed, i want to put RedHat 9 on it too so when it comes up i have the choice to either use Linux or Windows. Please don't be vague, go into detail, i'm very new to partitioning. *sorry for the re-post*

ummm nope. hehe

Do this. Remove the Windows drive or disconnect it from the system and practise a few times. Use a windows 98 bootdisk, or any other windows boot disk and create a small little dos partition on the drive, say 300MB. Then install Linux. That way you can practise the installation procedure. Do it a few times to get the hang of it.

In regards to the second drive, does it really matter? Your going to install Linux on it so whatever is on it is going to to be written over.

To determine which drive is which, just try to boot from it. If it boots into your Windows, then put a Post-it on the and call it Winders.
