Okay, i have a dual hard drive system. One with Windows 2000 and one with RedHat 9. :) . If i put both of them in the computer at the same time, would GRUB detect the other hard drive and OS? What i'm saying is, if i put both hard drives in would i get a chance to decide which one i want to boot? thanks

No. Grub needed to see the other operating system at the time it was installed. That's why I told you to create a small dos partition on the drive you wanted to install RedHat on. This way, GRUB would see the other partition and set it up. I told you to do it that way so that you could run through the install and get the hang of how it does it with an other parition installed in the system.

PC, not sure about this one.
Stick a second system disk as secondary master, won't the system still boot from Primary master MBR and load O/S. Then if Primary master = Linux, can't we add boot record of hdb1 to GRUB?
Going to test this out tonight.
Just got me Mandrake 9.0 :)
