Runtime Error!

i am trying to view a movie that has the extension .bin. i have run several other videos with a similar size and same extension, and encountered no problems. when i try to view this particular file, i get this message from wmp9:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe
abnormal program termination



is there any way to fix this problem?
i appreciate any input,

What version of Microsoft Media Player are you using? You might try installing the latest version or a newer one than what you have installed. The latest is version 9, which can be installed via the windowsupdate feature.

thank you for responding to my post, but unfortunately i already have windows media player 9 (i called it wmp9).
