It's related to sound blaster based cards. I think it's used by the PCI based cards. What operating system are you using, NT4 or 2000? NT4 can be a real pain to get a sound card working properly. Is the card a recent addition to the system or was it working and then suddenly stopped?

On the card you should see a model number, Something like CTxxxx. Find that and let us know. We'll run that down and find drivers for it. Windows 2000 should detect the card and install it with it's own drivers, but NT4 would require the installation of drivers. Did you install drivers for the card and then this happened? Have you already tried to update the drivers for the card?

Let us know.

You might try right clicking on each of the Sound Blaster related items within the Device Manager and remove them, reboot, and let Windows reinstall the devices. This might fix the problem.
