Can I put Redhat

Can i put redhat on my network to share files? and when i look in network places on my redhat, sometimes i see my LAN and sometimes i don't. what's wit dat?

Firstly....there is no "network places" in Red Hat, unless you're referring to the gui in LinNeighborhood.

Do you have Samba running and configured properly to see the shares?
