I have a client pc that pauses at the beginning of phase 4 of chkdsk when run in windows. When I select auto-fix errors and do a reboot, the chkdsk runs fine. Why is this pausing in windows? It'll sit there for 2+hours sometimes. Is there a component of Windows 2000 that allows me to reinstall chkdsk?

Well, after 1 week of research on the web and forum postings, I still have no answers. So today I began the re-imaging of the clients pc, barring no more incidents, I'd say it was a software issue with a corrupt chkdsk file.
