Whenever my system has been on for a long period of time, accessing my E-Mail gives me the following error message

The host 'mail.x.x.x' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'mail.x.x.x', Server: 'mail.x.x.x', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

This problem does not occur if I just booted or re-booted. Checking with my ISP I find out that this is a common problem in the area with XP Pro users.
I am running the latest version of I.E. and O.E. with all patches and updates. Otherwise they run A-OK.

Is this an ISP or O.E. problem ???????????????????

Any advice will be appreciated.

It sounds like problems with your ISP's server to me eriebch but I will transfer your topic to the Internet Forum so you can get more feedback.

The only references to that error message I can find are about badly set up mail clients, which if it just stops working we can safely rule out. I'd have to agree with AM that this sounds like an issue with the ISP.
