I am able to change the password policy to 7 characters and when I log on with another computer on the network as a regular user it tells me to change my password and it has to be at least 7 characters....so I know that policy is taking affect. When I change the user policy to have the internet explorer title bar to say...."brought to you by whatever..." only on the domain controller is where it properly displays the title bar of whatever I wanted it to say. If I log on as a normal user on another computer the title bar is normal and it doesn't say what it should. I also made changes so that when users click on the start menu they have an option to shut down. That also doesn't take affect when users log on. They only have the option to log off. I enabled the "remove windows update shortcuts" and when you click on the start button it also is still there. What am I doing wrong? I've put users in OU's and still no success. I've set the settings for the entire domain and still no success. Please help. Thanks

The default time taken to refresh the group policy is.....

on a domain controller....5 minutes
on anyother machine....90 minutes

you may need to wait just a little longer. Or you can force an update.....

Start>>run>>gpupdate

from the local machine.
