R4NG3R,

I know that you have RH 9, so the following might be a little more appropriate for your version...

http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/l.../ch-httpd.html

man i'm reading all this stuff on modules and things, when all i want to do is:

Get Apache working. *check*
Get server available to public. *not yet*
Have a simple web page. *not yet*

all i need or want to know is where to put my .html files and how to get my IP available to public.

You don't need to put it in the DMZ, you can forward port 80 to the web server.

As far as public goes, anyone should be able to type

http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx into the web browser (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx = the WAN address of your router) and get your web server. If you want people to be able to type www.whatever.com into there browser you need to buy a domain name and set the DNS to point to your routers WAN address.

Funny....you setup a server on your PC and then share it out to the world...but you don't know about 'whois'?

Not good, you really need to do some more reading about networking and security.

It looks as though your ip address changed. Even from your domain the connection is refused.....
