Unhappy page cannot be displayed

I am currently using ntl broadband on my system I have win 98 and 256mb ram 20 disk space.My internet connection keeps disconnecting itself and ntl say it is not their modem.Please can anyone help.

name of modem?

I am using a usb modem. is that what you needed only there is nothing else printed on it.

NTL use Terayon modems I think, that's what mine is. When it disconnects does the Cable light on the front of the modem go off?
