Links won't open

Using our browser (IE6), links that open a new window will not open. The border for the new page will open but the content does not load, also the address for then new link does not appear on the address line. This has started happening sometime during the last week. I did install a shareware internet tacking program last week which tracks websites and keystrokes, I did uninstall the program as part of my trouble shooting of this problem. But I still have the problem. Any help would be appreciated. WG

I've used the instructions on this page to fix the problem you're having.

Specifically, changing the "short name" to the "long name" first...works about 75% of the time...and then proceeding on to the Run commands further down.
