I use Outlook 2000 and want to use the Out of Office Assistant to let people know that I cannot answer emails.
Trouble is I cant find the Out of Office Assistant.
How do load this - is it and additional program to the std Outlook

Thanks for the link.
Problem is that under "Tools" there is no sub directory called "Out of Office".
This is my question - does this have to be loaded specially from the Outlook CD ? or is there some other way of activating it.

Do you use MS Exchange for your mail server or are you using internet mail?
Out of office will only work with Exchange (With outlook set up with Corporate Workgroup features).

Many thanks you have solved the problem.
We are using internet email hence the reason we cannot use out of office.

Some of the free email accounts you can get do have a similar feature, Yahoo for example do. Check your mail company's FAQs to see if they offer this :)
